Our client, a food processing and packaging company, seeks to fill the above role.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Regional mapping on the produce maturity period with the farmers.
- Monitor crop performance and mitigate possible crop failure against the requirement.
- Annual projections vs. actual stock and provide a solution on the stock gap to avoid stock out
- Increase the Supplier base for better comparison and attainment of the most competitive market price.
- Close monitoring of current market price drivers to avoid high material costs.
- Monitor international market pricing in comparison with local prevailing prices to source the most competitive.
- Negotiate product prices and sign off on Agro products to stabilize prices.
- Contract farmers to secure a stable/reliable supply in and out of season.
- Monitor and semi-annually report on price shifts on all produce.
- Monitor monthly stock movement against projections Vs. stock gap mitigations.
- Monitor all imported material and circulate stock status and timelines to secure.
- Monthly report on current stock status for material in the country, in transit & at the exporter's end.
- Liaise/ escalate possible stock out on imports
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of agronomy, crop production practices, and agricultural technologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Salary: 40k - 50k
