Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversees all receipts, storage and issues within the stores to ensure timely and efficient service to all internal and external customers.
- Monitors stock levels on a continuous basis and accordingly alerts the appropriate department in order to avoid stock-outs.
- Analyzes inventory movement in the stores and accordingly oversees the arrangement of stock items in a manner that ensures quick and safe retrieval of all items when needed.
- Identifies non-moving stock and accordingly makes recommendations to the Managing Director for appropriate action.
- Trains the stores teams to achieve error-free service at all times.
- Reconciles physical stock with ERP records and accordingly resolves any arising discrepancies to ensure that all stakeholders are provided with accurate stock information at all times.
- Coordinates activities within the stores to ensure that tasks are executed according to their urgency.
- Assess to ensure efficient manpower utilization at all times.
- Monitors processes within the stores to establish areas of improvement and accordingly makes recommendations to the Managing Director.
- Ensures effective and timely communication between employees and the management on matters regarding company policies and procedures as well as employee welfare to promote harmonious relations between the parties.
- Supervises stores staff to ensure effective and safe use of provided equipment.
- Liaises with production, dispatch and procurement teams to ensure that space is reserved in advance for all incoming goods.
- Prepares and shares with the relevant users ad hoc, daily, weekly and monthly reports to facilitate decision-making.
- Oversees housekeeping in stores to ensure a neat and safe working environment at all times.
- Maintains accurate records of all transactions within the stores to facilitate easy retrieval when need arises.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Warehouse Management or other related fields.
- Proficiency in MS Office and at least one ERP system.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role in a busy warehouse.
