Job Summary:

The role provides support to the Operations Divisions and is responsible for, coordinating regulatory reporting activities and ensuring reporting timeframes are being met.

Executing day-to-day compliance tasks within the Operations Division by setting up, implementing, and maintaining ongoing improvement of an effective risk and regulatory compliance program, consistent with the Central Bank requirements, Scheme Compliance programs, AML policies, and regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support with delivery of key elements of the risk and compliance program activities ensuring the respective deadlines are met.
  • Identify, log, and monitor risk and compliance Issues. Proactively work with managers within the operation division to complete remediation work through to completion within the required deadlines.
  • Produce regular metrics and compliance program status updates as and when needed.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects monitoring tasks and regulatory change initiatives.
  • Promoting a good risk and compliance culture and assisting the operation division in complying with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Escalate high-priority issues as well as identified business risks to the appropriate management level with managing risks relating to payments.
  • Providing support and advice to the operational division to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and other applicable international regulations including delivering the firm’s compliance program.
  • Undertaking one-off reviews deep dives and assessments of operation divisions' compliance, particularly with new regulatory obligations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for specific areas of regulation providing support and guidance on key requirements.
  • Assist in performing monitoring and surveillance reviews when we have identified and mitigated any compliance risks or gaps identified.
  • Supporting the operational division in completing their risk assessments (RAs) for processes, new changes, and initiatives.
  • Ensure that appropriate risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) reviews are done in a timely manner.
  • Support the Operation Division in reporting their incidents and losses.
  • Be the liaison between the Group Compliance Division and the Operations Division.

Minimum Requrirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • A compliance qualification would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience working within a regulatory framework is desirable.
  • Experience working in risk or compliance review or monitoring roles and reviewing regulations and ensuring control in place to adhere to regulatory requirements.
  •  Good report writing and presentation skills.
