The Sourcing Operations Manager is a full-time in-country position leading the procurement, certification, production, and export operations in Western Uganda.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Management of field staff – performance, recruitment, professional development
• Development and implementation of sourcing strategy for Western Uganda
• Annual planning for sourcing and export activities
• Preparation of staff and requirements for buying and training days
• Coordination of three teams: buying, training, and data collection – most importantly, being the coordination and performance management of over 50 buyers
• Ensure organic and traceability compliance
• Analysis of data and target tracking for all teams under management
• General office and staff administrative management
• Communication with the central office and the Finance department regarding sourcing plans
• Strategic planning and implementation of expansion opportunities
• Hosting & coordinating customer, donor, and investor visitors

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field
• 5+ experience in agriculture, sourcing, or agro-processing in the agricultural commodity market
• Willingness to live and work in rural areas
