Our client, an agricultural trading company based in East Africa, is seeking to fill the role of Finance Manager for its operations in Uganda.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Oversight of all sourcing and project-related finances and accounts
• Coordination of cash requirements at each office
• Submission of regular management accounts, payroll, and taxes in an accurate and timely manner 
• Review of all monthly transactions and expense categorization
• Invoice verification and routine checking, and follow-up of debtors/creditors lists
• Oversee proper inventory records across the entire company 
• Proper tracking and reflection of COS across both sides of the company
• Oversee verification of bank transaction recipients, amounts, and bank reconciliations
• Ensure proper monitoring of materials use: vehicle mileage and maintenance, use and disposal of bags, production supplies, etc.
• Routine audit of financial transactions, accountability, prices, tax compliance, etc.
• Risk management and mitigation
• Oversee budgeting and reporting across all offices
• Accurate and routine tracking and reporting for loans and investors
• Preparation for and coordination of the annual audit
• Support in the coordination of export documentation & freight 

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
• CPA or ACCA
• 5+ years’ experience in finance, accounting in agriculture, agronomy, or agro-processing
• Willingness to travel to and work in rural areas
