PROJECTS FINANCE MANAGER
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Reporting to: Projects Director
Interface with : Projects and Finance team members in various Group businesses, Legal team, Technical (Agriculture, Factory, Procurement, Others) team
Responsibilities include :
- Pre-feasibility analysis of new investments covering preliminary market potential, estimation of key assumptions for projecting revenues, costs, cash-flows and balance-sheet.
- Preparation of business plan for the new and expansion projects.
- Undertaking cost-benefit analysis of various projects.
- Preparation of detailed project reports – including detailed market study, evaluation of technology options, assessment of capital costs and operating costs, assessment of input availability, organization structure and staffing, detailed financial projections (including balance sheet, profit & loss account, cash-flow, investment schedule, depreciation, financing options, etc.)
- Co-ordinate with local and international financial institutions mobilise structured funding for the Group projects. Work on finalization of facility documents - loan agreements and other lender documentations.
- Assist in the implementation and reporting requirements for the Group’s projects, including preparation of funds disbursements, periodical reporting to financial institutions / banks.
- Support in preparing contract documents, evaluating terms of the contracts for procurement of plant / equipment & services required, evaluating offers received, short-listing of suppliers, detailed contract documentation.
- Support in preparing various supply contracts.
- Prepare Regulatory Compliance & Statutory Approvals required for various businesses / projects
- Preparing project progress reports for reporting to management and financiers. Analyzing cost incurred during all stages of projects (design, tendering & procurement, execution, and close-out).
- Interactions with Government Agencies in respect of various project activities to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. Prepare documentations for government authorisations, attend and prepare minutes of meetings, follow-ups on pending activities with government departments and multiple agencies.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Graduate in finance / project planning / engineer preferably with an MBA from a recognized premium institutes with knowledge of project finance, financial documentation and dealing with financial institutions as well as some industrial experience.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in handling projects (concept to commissioning) in agro-processing and or any manufacturing industry as well as service industry like hospitality.
- Knowledge of debt fund raising from banks and institutions along with commercial knowledge on project planning and financial analysis.
- Superior knowledge of Financial modelling with Excel, Word report, preparing Power point presentations are essential.
