Roles and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process
- Developing, documenting, and implementing policies and procedures to improve production processes and reduce costs including, designing processes for new products;
- Measuring, maintaining and reviewing factory metrics and taking prompt corrective actions
- Liasing with other managers across the organisation to ensure effective change management, efficiencies and achievement of common goals.
- Providing guidance on profit maximization opportunities to the platform through innovation, purchasing and business development.
- Forecasting, planning, and executing the acquisition and delivery of all materials (and tools)
required to meet production plans. - Directing and coordinating the raw material requirements
- Monitoring the process of finished goods transfer to designated spaces and subsequent
dispatching - Recruiting, leading, evaluating and developing all team members, consistent with BlackIvy values and expectations
- Coaching and developing factory teams to be cost conscious and to operate in a culture of accountability when making decisions that affect business cost, quality and efficiency
- Managing factory teams to optimize productivity and maintain cost within budget whilst achieving quality standards.
- Analysing and recommending requirements for non-core business functions in the factory, regarding outsourcing to external service providers, or retention of internal skills and resources
- Formulating, implementing and consistently reviewing an asset maintenance program to guarantee efficiency, availability, quality, safety and hygiene in compliance with requisite standards.
- Identifying, evaluating and recommending capital asset investments to meet business objectives
- Ensuring implementation of health and safety systems and procedures so employees, contractors and visitors enjoy a safe and healthy workplace environment.
- Ensuring that the factory is always compliant with all relevant current and future regulations
Identifying, recommending, and executing cost effective initiatives to improve the environmental impact of the factory. - Supporting the preparation of the operational budget including controlling costs to
meet business objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial food manufacturing management in a senior role.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, with strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel and ERP Systems
