Executive Business Advisor

Reporting to: Group Chairman

Job Purpose:

The Executive Business Advisor will provide consulting services to the management team, a company’s founder, or other clients. As an executive advisor, your duties are to analyze the organizational goals and strategies of the group of companies and determine what changes can be made to better serve the company and its executive team

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level critical analysis and specialist advice on financial performance, budgets, projects and related issues.
  • Provide support on general organization tactical execution issues by providing advice, recommendations and options for resolution, including innovative ideas to improve systems, processes, internal controls and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Monitor and report specific initiatives or projects to the executive office to ensure consistency with the business strategy, commitments and goals.
  • Circulate a monthly report on the performance of the various strategic objectives of the group of companies and indicate areas of improvement or where there is need to focus and support.
  • Oversee strategic organization initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of the Group Chairman.
  • Assist in the preparation of papers, including those for the Board, Sub Committees of the Board, Executive and Senior Management Meetings
  • Analyse and review business dashboards for key performance indicators for the group of companies
  • Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making and initiative implementation.
  • Develop plans for managing crisis and works with the Executive Team to address the specifics of an emergency.
  • Maintain a strong professional and community network and broad understanding of the target market community to build and maintain relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Serves as a central point of liaison with other functional areas and external stakeholders in the resolution of high-level corporate issues.
  • Generate revenue through development of new client relationships, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Undertake review and analysis of business cases, funding submissions and provide recommendations relating to allocation of funds.
  • Evaluate and advise on improving sales, marketing, and branding strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for future business development and expansion.
  • Perform risk analysis and advise on mitigation to manage risks.
  • Analyse consumer and competitor behaviour and advise on changes to company policies related to the products and customer services.
  • Support the Group Chairman to ensure full preparation for meetings and steering committees to ensure input from all internal staff members are prepared to a high standard and reviewed in a timely manner to ensure the meetings are as productive as possible.

Minimum Qualification

  • MBA-Strategic Management or a related field
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of business operations and strategic planning
  • Proficiency in analyzing budgets and preparing financial reports.
  • Exceptional ability to identify future business opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Experience in project management and implementing best industry practices.
