Talent Acquisition Specialist

Reporting to: Talent, Performance & Od Manager Africa

Job Purpose

This role will give you the opportunity to be part of the company’s growth because you will be matching the right people in the right jobs for today and for the future in Africa! You will achieve this by being responsible for the full life cycle of the recruiting and talent acquisition process. This entails attraction, recruitment, assessment, offer and onboarding, all while ensuring candidates have a great experience. This role will be responsible for working with leaders in anticipating and executing talent needs that allow the development of internal talent as well as bringing new capacities to the organization aligned with future demands and fostering an inclusive and diverse culture. The contribution of the individual who takes up the role will be key to bringing to life our People Strategy and continue to strengthen our employer brand, by looking for best practices, continues improvement, cost optimization and innovation as well as rigor and risk management through proactive Talent sourcing and Talent Analytics. Pivotal to this role will be the People Hub platform to track activity with leaders and understand your Talent Acquisition (TA) process behaviors, KPI´s and trends so as to understand the changes needed to be implemented so as to continue improving the outcomes and results. You will also work together with our colleagues from different backgrounds and expertise to lead initiatives that will improve our TA strategy and contribute to our employee value proposition. The role will also support with other related employee life cycle activities specifically to ensure a fit for purpose workforce.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • You will provide a pro-active and professional in-house recruitment support to the hiring managers within your regional area and manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle from identification of the role, through to on-boarding ensuring a seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Manage various recruitment activities including advertising vacancies (HR system, job boards and sharing with internal communications and engagement specialist to post on relevant social media platforms), screening applicants, telephone interviewing, directly sourcing passive talent, running assessment campaigns, pre-employment checks(medical, Police Forensic, Previous Employer History, qualification checks etc.), essentially the full 360° recruitment cycle alongside building trusted and lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing on-going support to senior stakeholders throughout the recruitment process, revamping role profiles, fostering internal succession, advising of best practice and actively promoting and encouraging workforce diversity at all levels of recruitment and work closely with the respective HR Business partners to deliver timely filling of positions as per SLA.
  • Liaise with the Internal Communications and Employee Engagement specialist on employer branding initiatives in line with company expectations and relaying information to develop creative ways of addressing talent acquisition challenges.
  • Liaise with the internal communication and Employee Engagement specialist and HRBPs on Employee Life Cycle matters; run exit interview, analyze data, identify, and determines causes, draw insights and developing interventions on key recruitment KPIs for improvement of policies and practices
  • Working in partnership with agencies where required, manage Talent Acquisition vendors, including contracts and invoice process and proactively seek market intelligence to gain competitive advantage in attraction, assessment, and sourcing methodologies.
  • Carry out TA Projects that will add value to the business, increase consistency, efficiency and quality of all aspects that impact TA such as best practices implementation, global framework alignment, intern and early career programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, SLA improvements, among others.
  • Drive Employee Lifecycle standard operating procedures: maintain up to date personal file documentation, compile statistical reports of people movement and prepares periodic activity reports as per established reporting procedures for relevant stakeholders.
  • Utilizing our global HR system, People Hub to ensure that all information is kept up to date for the team and also for the candidates and develop metrics, KPI´s and evaluate the effectiveness of various attraction tools/channels and outcomes.
  • Support with assigned employee life cycle activities on performance, development organizational structure effectiveness to drive a fit for purpose workforce in Ethiopia

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • 1 st Degree in Human Resource / Administration / Management
  • Experience of 5+ years in Recruitment or as a Senior Human Resource Officer
  • Relevant Talent Acquisition experience and understanding of TA full cycle, either in-house or for an agency for large and complex organizations including hiring across various candidate skillsets, expertise, market knowledge and working in fastā€paced environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of candidate’s attraction, internal succession, recruitment, assessment and onboarding methods and best practices.
  • Organized and analytical personality with a high level of creativity and adaptability. Ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team.
  • Understanding and management of employee records linked to employee life cycle activities
  • Analysis and reporting skills to enable leaders, HR Business Partners make informed decisions
