IT Projects Officer

Our client, a technology company in Nairobi is seeking to recruit a project officer. The ideal candidate will help in the implementation of the company’s IT projects as well as help in business development. He/she should be technical with a working experience in sales.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate all IT Project activities
• Manage assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget and scope of project
• Prepare project-related documentation; project proposals, technical manual and documentation, operator manuals and compile project progress reports for each client
• Identifying project Risks and issues that would affect the project and identifying a solution
• Develop, maintain, and revise proposals for assigned projects including project objectives,
• Plan, design, and schedule implementation and evaluation stages for projects
• Ensures all system processes are seamless and efficient before implementation
• Create a project Schedule and monitor deadlines for each project task
• Coordinating with the sales team to arrange for handover from sales to the projects team
• Leasing with the head of the technical department on engineers who are to implement solutions for upcoming projects
• Point of contact between the clients and the office

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or IT-related field
• At least 3 years in IT projects
• Business development and client retention is highly desired.
