Job Description

Job Purpose: Manage and coordinate the daily transactions relationships between banks and different payment systems and relationships between the bank and card holders and ensure the consistency of all reports generated for banks’ users’ operations with reports incoming from different payment systems to the bank.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile end-of-day reports for card holders’ transactions (General Ledger File Report, Issuer Daily Reconciliation) against issued payment system reports.
  • Match internally daily issued reports for issuer banks and card holder transactions.
  • Match the “General Ledger” for acquirer banks on a daily basis with the payment system transaction reports ensuring that all transactions have been posted properly.
  • Check the outgoing transactions for all acquiring and issuing POS to ensure that all transactions all properly communicated to payment systems for collection, and check that the collection process successfully took place.
  • Validate the “General Ledger” for issuer banks on a daily basis to ensure that all accounting entries have been posted to relevant accounts properly.
  • Investigate errors received in the incoming reports from different payment systems in coordination with different banks.
  • Reply to any inquiries from the banks related to the settlement processes.
  • Report different errors and problems to concerned teams internally or to the bank for proper solutions.
    Review samples of cardholders’ statements to ensure that all account details and transactions are properly reflected.
  • Support the implementation and testing of new payment systems before their launch.
  • Assign additional tasks delegated by the supervisor or section head

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, Accounting or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role in the banking industry
  • Advanced level/skills in handling Microsoft windows excel, word, powerpoint
  • Good level of Time management, Customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain mutually beneficial work relationships and alliances inside and outside the
