Production Supervisor

Job Purpose

To supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and in accordance with required quality standards and production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily production activities in line with production schedules.
• Monitor the mixing, batching, filling, and packaging processes to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are achieved.
• Supervise, allocate duties to, and monitor production staff.
• Ensure correct use of raw materials and minimize production waste.
• Monitor production equipment and coordinate maintenance of machinery to minimize downtime.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure products meet approved specifications.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and stock usage documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Identify production challenges and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Stores, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams.
• Train and coach production staff on procedures, safety, quality, and equipment handling.
• Monitor housekeeping and ensure the production area is clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in paint, coatings, chemicals, or related manufacturing.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and production planning.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
