Automation Engineer

Support and maintain the facility’s IT and automation systems, including servers, network infrastructure, EMS/BMS, CCTV, communication systems, equipment automation software, and pneumatic-controlled systems. Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and compliance with cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and internal quality standards.

Main Activities/Tasks

• Manage LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, switches, Wi‑Fi, and network security. Implement access control, audit trails, and data integrity systems aligned with ALCOA+ and IT security policies.
• Operations Technology (OT), Automation & Control - Maintain and troubleshoot EMS/BMS (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell) for cleanrooms and utilities.
• Support SCADA/HMI, PLCs (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), control networks, and historian systems. Manage automation software for equipment interfaces, calibration systems, and production control. Support pneumatic systems: sensors, valves, actuators, pressure regulation, and interfacing with PLC/BMS.
• Pharmaceutical cGMP Compliance & CSV - Ensure all systems comply with cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and GAMP 5. Support qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), periodic reviews, and data integrity audits. Maintain SOPs, work instructions, change controls, deviations, and CAPA documentation.
• Facility Communications & Security Systems - Manage CCTV, access control, and intercom systems. Ensure compliance with retention policies, data privacy, and site security protocols.
• Work towards the company's mission and strategy 
• Any other duty/ies as requested by management from time to time.

Minimum Qualification;

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar.
• 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with LIMS, MES, OPC, Modbus, Profibus, ProfNet.
• OT network segmentation and cybersecurity (ISA/IEC 62443).
• Knowledge of compressed air quality (ISO 8573) and cleanroom environmental monitoring.
