Role & Responsibilities:
- Implement Analabs strategic plan
- Increase scope and improve TAT
- Implement Continuous improvement initiatives
- Projects implementation
- Evaluates, develops and implements laboratory process and system improvement initiatives to include Industry best practices.
- Researching and analyzing new testing methods and opportunities and managing the development of these opportunities while keeping abreast with the market trends and international best practices
- Ensure annual sales growth is achieved
- Ensure revenue is generated within the department
- Ensure QMS is maintained within the department
- Ensure daily quality of service is maintained (IQC & Random Audit implementation and performance evaluated)
- Timely Review of QMS system and documents
- Timely investigations and resolution of Out of Specification and or customer queried results.
- Write verification protocols for laboratory instruments and analytical methods.
- Verify and prepare qualification reports for the lab equipment and or procedures.
- Coordinate all Laboratory work that support validation activities
- Write, implement, and review all necessary procedures and SOPs that support the Laboratory operations
- Ensure smooth day to day running of the department
- Manage the implementation of Laboratory operations guidelines, procedures, policies, rules and regulations and monitor compliances
- Customer survey/ feedback evaluation and corrective action implementation
Ensure business related risks are identified, measured and mitigated. - Ensure the department is compliant with all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Ensure the Analabs Risk system/procedure is implemented and evaluated within the department
- Manage, grow and motivate the team through establishment of suitable competency frameworks, coaching, and working environment.
- Develop and maintain an appropriate training schedule to enhance competency in order to deliver exceptional service, achieve targets and maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
- Set performance expectations and conduct performance management evaluations in a timely manner to ensure superior levels of performance are maintained.
Implement development programs to optimize competence, productivity and achievement of objectives.
Minimum Qulifications:
- Bsc. Analytical Chemistry or its equivalent from a recognized university.
- Training in Quality Management Systems.
- 8+ years experience, 5 years of commercial or scientific Analytical Laboratory work experience. With at least
3 years in management and or direct supervisory role.
